So one of my concerns before coming to Oz was 'how in the world am I going to get a 2 year old to completely switch her day and night?!' Well good news it was done in 3 days! After a long 16 hour overnight flight we arrived at 5:30am with about 4 hours of sleep each (Nick may of had more ;)). So needless to say as we walked around town Abigail fell asleep for about an hour. Then in the afternoon we all slept. It was suppose to be a 1 hour nap for the adults and a 2 hour nap for A. But we all ended up sleeping close to 3 hours! Oh well. We all felt much better anyways. We put Abigail to be that night around 8 I believe, and she woke up a couple times because it was a different place. But she got up for good around 2:30. We had a little oatmeal brekkie around 3:45 and then all got tucked back in bed around 4:30. We ended up sleeping until 6:30ish. Not too bad.
The second day she took a long nap around 1. And to be around 8 again. This time she woke up around 3, but was back to bed around 4:30. I think she may have slept until 7.
The third day, she woke up at some point and fell back asleep in a chair next to the bed and was awake around 6.
Since then it's been about the same. Bed around 8, up around 6. With a 2 hour nap during the day, which I have to wake her up from. It's ok that she is getting up so early. The sun is up by 5:00 and down by 6:30. So it makes sense.
Nick and I have had a pretty good time getting adjusted. But I'm completely wiped out by 9 most days. I think it's because we've been doing a ton of walking around. Nick has had trouble sleeping past 5 (I always have had that problem). He is working on staying up a little later so maybe he can sleep a little later. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, probably be a slug and go to bed supper early. Maybe once we get a house I'll get up early and run.... maybe.
