Getting to Australia

We've arrived! And amazingly so did our luggage, all 12 pieces. What a sight both at the Indy airport checking in 6 checked bags, stroller, carseat, 3 carry on bags, and 3 personal items, along with our parents. Indy was easy. Brisbane, not so easy, but we did it. We got 2 luggage trolleys and stacked them high and still carried stuff on our backs. I was worried about clearing customs since we had a bit of food but it was fine. They only care about fresh foods, so our peanuts, graham crackers, cookies, even raisins were fine. Which was a good thing, that was the only way to get A through all the lines. The lines really weren't bad though. We even got to see the sniffing dogs, hah. It caught a sniff of the apple we had in the bag previously.

Nick was worried about getting all of our stuff to the hotel/apartment. Thankfully there was a huge van that was available at the taxi stand. Got all loaded up and it was only about a 20 minute ride to the apartment, since it was 7am and traffic hadn't started. Arrived, checked it and finally got to shower. I knew before hand that there wasn't going to be a bathtub, so A showered with me. Not sure if this will work for the month, but we're going to try. After that we wondered around and got our first look at shopping in Australia. As we expected it was a bit pricey.

We are settling in and trying to find a house to rent now. And in our free time exploring and learning all about Brisbane. It has been wonderful so far! Praise be to God who goes before me and is my rear guard!
