Child's Christmas Tree

I saw this on Pinterest and had to make one! Abigail hasn't been too bad about playing with our tree, but it was too cute not to try! I made it out of flannel, I was thinking of those flannel boards from Sunday school, so long ago. It worked pretty well, later I realized they suggested felt. Abigail has enjoyed it.

It's simple to create!

I like neatness, so I ironed my flannel before hand.

1. I backed mine with a piece of foam core board. Just measured to the top middle and then drew a line to the bottom corners to create a triangle. Cut with a box knife on an old box. With foam core you don't have to cut through both sides of cardboard. You can just cut through one and then bend it back, and then you can see the line to cut from the back.

2. Next I laid the foam board on top of the green flannel and cut it about 1" bigger on each side. Then I wrapped the flannel around the board and hot glued it down nice and tight.

3. Cut out ornaments from what ever color you choose.

4. Hang. I used velcro command strips to hang it on the wall.

5. Play!
